Pond Loop

Pictured is an existing pond where we install a geothermal pond loop just off of Maple Grove Road west of the Norwood Golf Course in Huntington, Indiana.

You do not need a pond to install geothermal, however, if you have an existing pond or are thinking of digging a pond it must be a least 8' deep for geothermal to work properly.

We have installed loops in over 100 ponds in the area.

Pictured to the left is a typical loop being installed into an

existing pond.  The number of coils needed for your home

is based on the heat loss/heat gain of your home.

It is important that your contractor perform a detailed

heat lkoos/heat gain for proper sizing.

The loop will float as shown until the water/methanol

solution is added to the loop system and all air is removed.

This is called "loading and flushing" the loop. All of the air

in the loop piping and system must be removed for proper

   operation.
